Endorsements
The Alameda County Republican Party Central Committee endorses candidates and takes positions on ballot measures each election cycle. Our endorsement reflects the collective judgment of elected committee members representing five Assembly Districts across Alameda County.
How We Evaluate Candidates
The Central Committee uses a structured endorsement process governed by our bylaws:
- Candidate Request — Candidates seeking endorsement submit a request to the Central Committee and may present their platform at a scheduled meeting
- Committee Vote — Endorsement requires a two-thirds (2/3) supermajority vote of the Central Committee at an official endorsement meeting
- Evaluation Criteria — Committee members evaluate candidates on their commitment to constitutional principles, fiscal responsibility, public safety, educational excellence, and strong communities
- Preferred Standing — Candidates who do not receive a formal endorsement may be granted "Recommended By" status at the Committee's discretion
